Tax system in Mauritius

Mauritius applies a straightforward tax system with a flat income tax rate of 15% on most income, making it one of the most tax-efficient jurisdictions for expatriates. The Contribution Sociale Généralisée (CSG) replaced the National Pension Fund contributions in 2020. Mauritius has positioned itself as an international financial centre with the Premium Visa program allowing remote workers and retirees to reside in the country. There is no capital gains tax on most transactions.
