🇲🇱 Mali
Mali taxes salaries through the ITS (impot sur les traitements et salaires), a seven-band annual scale from 0% to 37% (Code General des Impots article 10, schedule of Loi 2016-010 in force since 1 July 2015 and confirmed unchanged by the tax administration in 2025). The taxable base is gross salary minus the employee INPS pension (3.6%, deductible within a 4% ceiling); the AMO health contribution (3.06%) is withheld but not deductible. The assessed tax is then reduced by two points of the effective rate (tax minus 2% of the taxable base, floored at zero, Loi 2008-002), which exempts annual incomes up to about 550,000 XOF in practice. Family charges give a percentage reduction of the tax (10% for a married taxpayer plus 2.5% per child); the figure shown is the single-filer basis. XOF (CFA Franc) is pegged to EUR at 655.957.
