🇮🇩 Indonesia
Indonesia has 5 progressive brackets (5% to 35%, Law 7/2021). Deductions: occupational expense 5% of income capped at IDR 6 million/year, employee old-age (JHT 2%) and pension (JP 1%, capped) contributions, then the PTKP allowance of IDR 54 million. Tax residence generally starts at 183 days of presence per 12 months; qualifying new foreign residents may opt for taxation on Indonesian-source income only during their first 4 years. A France-Indonesia tax treaty is in force.

What the calculation reproduces, what it does not model
The tax base deducts all three employee contributions; statutorily the BPJS health premium (1%, capped) is not deductible, so tax is slightly under-stated (at most about IDR 0.5 million per year at high incomes, under 0.1% of net). PTKP is modelled at the single rate (TK/0); the additions of IDR 4.5 million for a spouse and per dependent (max 3) are not modelled. The 20% non-resident withholding and the optional 4-year territorial taxation for qualifying new residents are not modelled.
