Argentina taxes salaries through the Impuesto a las Ganancias (4th category, Law 20.628 as amended by Law 27.743), withheld monthly by the employer. The scale and personal deductions are indexed to inflation every semester: this page uses the official ARCA tables for July to December 2026 (rates 5% to 35%; single-employee deductions of 32,397,274 ARS per year, i.e. the non-taxable minimum plus the 4.8x special deduction). Employee contributions total 17% (SIPA pension 11%, PAMI 3%, obra social 3%), on gross capped at the SIPA maximum base (4,509,567.41 ARS/month in July 2026, Res. ANSES 186/2026), and are deductible from the tax base.
